Ethereum delays consolidation until Q3, extending the life of coin mining.

Ethereum (ETH-USD) is the largest tier 1 dapp network in the world, hosting over 4000 dapps. As a result, many people use the network on a daily basis. These users have been waiting for the Ethereum integration for nearly a year. The merger will introduce proof of stake to the network and improve the transaction throughput from less than 100 to 100,000. Unfortunately, investors will have to wait longer.

The developers revealed earlier this week that the merger will be delayed until the third quarter of this year. Since it was first announced in 2020, the news represents yet another postponement. With the exchange of new cryptocurrency listings, Robinhood is giving a boost to four coins.

This week, electronic trading platform Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) caused a stir in the crypto world.

One of the headlines was the appearance of four new cryptocurrency listings on its site - the first new additions since Dogecoin in 2018. The platform is one of the most popular sites for listing cryptocurrencies because it allows this.

Consumers can get into cryptocurrencies without having to create wallets or learn how to use a cryptocurrency exchange. Shiba Inu, whose SHIB military has been lobbying for Robinhood's inclusion since early last year, is also a major recipient.

Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey joined forces to mine Bitcoin.

While billionaires have previously argued about cryptocurrency, it appears that Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey are putting their differences behind them. Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) will supply solar technology to a Bitcoin mining operation operated by Block (NYSE:SQ) and crypto technology company Blockstream. This $12 million mining facility in Texas provides an opportunity for crypto influencers to prove to the world that Proof of Work mining can be a profitable business.

Shiba Inu metaverse comes to life with a new land sale.

The developers of Shiba Inu see fit to keep the good news coming just a day after receiving the SHIB token for Robinhood's long-awaited list. Bids have been announced for early access to the lands of SHIB: Metaverse. The Shiba Inu metaverse, first announced in January, will be a play-to-earn mobile metaverse where users can passively earn crypto rewards.

This announcement comes as part of a larger push by developers to expand Shiba Inu use cases. Other projects in the works include the Shibarium Layer-2 network, which will provide its own SHIB blockchain.

Coinbase's media arm is preparing for its first major production, Bored Ape Yacht Club.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is set to increase its visibility after becoming the hottest group of non-fungible tokens (NFT) last year. It does so by making its way to the big screen, thanks to Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN).

In fact, the cryptocurrency exchange, which established its own media production company last year, is working on a trilogy of Bored Monkey films. Additionally, BAYC token holders will have the opportunity to portray their monkeys as characters in the production.

This announcement makes it one of the most interesting facilities for this increasingly valuable store asset class.
